Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of these terms

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) are a legal agreement between you and Threadwell (“Threadwell,” “we,” “us”). By accessing or using the Threadwell app or website (the “Service”), you agree to be bound by these Terms and by our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum age of digital consent in your country) to use Threadwell. By using the Service you represent that you meet this requirement.

3. What Threadwell does

Threadwell helps you understand the clothing you scan or look up by estimating fabric composition and health and sustainability attributes, and by presenting a score and related insights. Threadwell provides informational estimates only. It is not medical, dermatological, or professional advice and should not be relied upon as such. Always consult a qualified professional about any health concern, allergy, or condition.

4. Your account

You may use Threadwell anonymously or create an account. You are responsible for the activity under your account and for keeping your sign-in credentials secure. Notify us promptly of any unauthorized use.

5. Subscriptions and billing

Threadwell is free to download. We may offer optional auto-renewing subscriptions that unlock additional features. If you purchase a subscription:

• Payment is charged to your Apple App Store or Google Play account at confirmation of purchase.
• Your subscription automatically renews for the same period unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
• Your account is charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period, at the price you agreed to.
• You can manage or cancel your subscription in your App Store or Google Play account settings. Deleting the app does not cancel a subscription.
• Prices, plans, and any free trials are shown to you before purchase and may vary by region.

Except where required by law or store policy, payments are non-refundable. Refund requests are handled by Apple or Google according to their policies.

6. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of these Terms;
• Reverse engineer, scrape, or attempt to disrupt or gain unauthorized access to the Service;
• Resell, redistribute, or commercially exploit the Service without our permission;
• Upload content that infringes the rights of others or that is harmful or unlawful.

7. Intellectual property

The Service, including its software, design, content, and the Threadwell name and logo, is owned by Threadwell and protected by applicable laws. We grant you a limited, personal, non-transferable, revocable license to use the Service for its intended purpose. Content you create (such as your closet) remains yours; you grant us the limited license needed to operate the Service for you.

8. Disclaimers

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. We do not warrant that scores, estimates, certifications, or other information are complete, accurate, or error-free, or that the Service will be uninterrupted.

9. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Threadwell will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss arising from your reliance on information provided by the Service. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.

10. Third-party stores

Your use of Threadwell obtained through the Apple App Store or Google Play is also subject to that store's terms. Where Threadwell is downloaded from the Apple App Store, the Apple Licensed Application End User License Agreement (EULA) applies, and Apple is not responsible for the Service or any claims relating to it.

11. Termination

You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms or to protect the Service and its users.

12. Changes

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by the “Last updated” date above and, where appropriate, notified in the app. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated Terms.
